Award-winning cartoonist based in Vermont.
Natalie Norris is a cartoonist, teacher, and comics librarian based in the Upper Valley. Her debut graphic memoir, Dear Mini: Book One was listed as one of the best graphic novels for adults by the New York Public Library in 2023 and won a Broken Frontier Award for Best Lettering. She has taught and lectured about depicting trauma in graphic memoirs at the 2020 Graphic Medicine Conference, the Larner College of Medicine, the Sequential Artists Workshop, and the Center for Cartoon Studies, where she graduated in 2020. Coming from a fine arts background, with a major in Studio Art from Kenyon College, Norris brings a painterly approach to her comics by using traditional media. In 2024 she received a grant from the Vermont Arts Council to help in the creation of the second part of her memoir, Dear Mini: Book Two.
